Good Sunday morning everyone. Thanks Zozee for acknowledging my finish. Thanks Rob and Retiredteacher09 for your kind words of encouragement. Congratulations Grann of 6 for your fine finish.

It was a good month for finishes, now just learning how to post pix is the next challenge

I have four sandwiched quilt tops waiting at the gate to be long armed. The arrangement on that have been talked over with my long armer

Good work everyone that had a finish for January.

Happy sewing day everyone

Thanks, CherryB. My next UFOs will take longer to finish. One is a pineapple quilt, 13 blocks done and 29 to go. I am saving the best for last... not really, more like procrastinating the boring. I also need to master the art of posting pictures, tried and failed a couple times. And my longarmer (me) has 4 waiting to be quilted, maybe tomorrow.

Last night, half of the Qsized quilt was quilted. Took me 3 1/2 hours to do the pantograph. I'm still learning...hoping I get the swirls nice and smooth all the time!

Good afternoon everyone, you are most welcome Grann of 6, and welcome to the UFO'ers Maggy. we love another passenger on this train. We love to hear of other's work. Grann after I master posting pix I plan on taking a DSM quilting class when I get settled from my move. Looking forward to getting my four tops completed before my move. Because my long-armer is great, she can turn them out as fast as I can give them to her.

Maybe the challenge will be a little bigger the next time.

Happy sewing day everyone

For those having trouble posting pictures, here are the directions. Remember the size limits.

My, we are all so industrious! I have another finish. I sewed the nine patches and cut the squares for a single Irish chain last fall and then put the pieces away and promptly forgot them. Fast forward to Wednesday when I received a call from one of the clergy at the church asking if there was any way the prayer quilt ministry could make a "music themed" quilt to give to our retiring choir director on Sunday (today!). I first told her no, but remembered the languishing nine patches and figured I could finish them and hopefully find some coordinating fabric for the border. Lo and behold, the local quilt shop had a piece with the hymn Amazing Grace in sort of sepia tones. I figured it was close enough and in three days finished piecing, quilting and binding the quilt Phew! Had I more time I would have put a third border to match the green to help bring it all together, but I just couldn't manage it.
PS, I really don't like this new way of posting pics. I wish we could go back to clicking on the little tree as it was so much easier.

Welcome, maggy!

Belfrybat: Congratulations on your finish. The Amazing Grace fabric was a nice find and so perfect for finishing the quilt. I bet it was loved by the choir director.

NZquilter, I am sitting with you in the caboose hand quilting like crazy and my UFO is moving ahead. Body of the quilt finished and now I have begun hand quilting the border. Picture to come later.

Belfreybat, absolutely love, love, love the border on your quilt for the choir leader. Perrrrfect!

I am so impressed with the number of finishes. We certain do respond to a little positive peer pressure. Now, I am wondering who has cleared their pile of UFOs from our group? Tee-Hee-Hee I am quite convinced that this group is a lifelong commitment. We may diminish the pile but it will never disappear altogether. :o My goal for February is two finishes! I think it can be done.
