Everyone's 4-patches are looking awesome. I have picked my neutrals and started some cutting and tomorrow will get to patch making.

No MQ sewing - or any other - for me this weekend. We were out of town for Thanksgiving with our daughters, went out to dinner Friday night, planning to drive home after. Or possibly early this morning.

Well, our plans changed abruptly when we all got what we believe to be food poisoning. So, so sick - but starting to feel like we will all live after all. Will have to drive home tomorrow, and back to work on Monday. I knew I'd be behind, but wasn't expecting quite this far behind. :(

That's awful, peaceandjoy. Glad you are all getting better.

The fabrics and four patches are all looking great and I am especially looking forward to the alternates. I love the idea of putting pale lavender in the neutrals.

So sorry to hear this, peaceandjoy. Wishing you all a speedy recovery!

Everyone's 4-patches are looking great!

SusanSusan, I love your mellow golden patches. char, that neutral print is just beautiful.

I pressed the additional neutrals I pulled yesterday, and cut strips from those. I'll cut the remaining strips tomorrow, and then can get to the fun part of matching things up.

peaceandjoy, Hope you continue to improve!

I didn't want to sew strips to have the same prints together, so I cut squares, and shuffled. I ran out of bobbin thread when sewing the last five. Lucky me, only five! :-p

Oh wow, way to go, givio

Speedy recovery to you and your family, peaceandjoy.

Yay givio, another old sewing machine lover! Are you treadling or has it been converted to electric? I love my red eye treadle but I'm using my 15-91 for this project.

I have half of my twosies sewn. Decided to use the white on cream muslin for two of the squares of the patch and have it all cut. Still debating on if I want to add a third neutral or not. I'll see what I can find a fat quarter that I like when I go out tomorrow.

I love seeing photos of all the progress, and I hope that those of you who have encountered delays will get to sew very soon. Here is an alternate color scheme that I am trying out to see how changing the values impacts the overall design, whatever that turns out to be. This is exciting stuff!

Love seeing everyone's patches. We did a bit of shopping this weekend. My daughter wanted to go friday so we went to a mall 45 minutes away. Luckily it was quiet as most of the shopper shopped on Thanksgiving... No thank you!! And yesterday for small business saturday I went to the quilt store and got fabrics for my sons bed quilt. Grey and black. And cut the 11 inch squares of fabric. He wants it before Christmas but I doubt I'll finish by then... I still have to fmq my uncles QOF quilt. So it seems I have 3 projects going on at the same time. Yikes... Last night after church we decorated the house for Christmas. Just have to buy/ decorate the tree now...

I sewed/ pressed 62 4 patches and bagged/ organized the fabrics. I wish I had seen the "easy" way to spin because I snipped all my seams before spinning/ ironing them (that was a challenge bc my eyes are getting older). AND I totally forgot that I had the June taylor strip cutter. Lately I've been using the lines on my mat for cutting. So I cut the rest of the 2 inch strips withe June Taylor tool and will tackle the sewing later.

PeaceandJoy- Hope you're feeling better. Your weekend sounded lovely until the food poisoning!

giovio- My grandmother had a singer treadle that I played with as a kid. Makes me sad to know all those tools/ things are long gone. My grandfather must have sold it.

Bluebonnet-I love the little music notes fabric and very smart to pin your until is sets of (10?) together...

Splinter- are you thinking of doing 2 different quilts?
