Don't try to get out of it so easily icesnowquilter! LOL! Starting Tuesday, you'll have a whole year. Just think of the scraps you'll accumulate! I can't wait to see your finished quilt!

The challenge is for 2008, I was just excited about completing my first project with my new machine. I plan to do more scrap projects throughout the new year. Lord knows I have plenty of "left-overs" from all kinds of sewing projects over the years.

Lisa,
You made a wonderful quilt. And this is your first? You did great.

Love your quilt, Lisa. I've made several similar ones. The embroidry work is convenient to carry to Dr's appts, ets.

Well, it's 2008 and I finished this one on January 2, just over the wire. This is a crib quilt made for teachers I work with who are expecting their first child. I began it before they found out it wil be a girl, but I had already planned for that.

The front is made from all the pink pieces I could find in my stash. The back is made from all the blue pieces I could find. I did not cut any of the strips to size, they are the width that I had. Only the half-square triangles are cut but from pieces that I already had at that size.

I was experimenting with a quilt as you go method, so it went together fairly quickly. :-)

So, I guess we can say it is a sample for the scrap challenge. The happy couple received the blanket yesterday and were delighted with it, thank God. :D

What a sweet quilt, Connie. I like the way you covered the "boy/girl" colors.
Great!
Did you enjoy the quilt-as-you-go method? Would you do another with it? Just curious.

How cute Connie! I love the way it is two-sided. Two quilts in one!
