Love this! Right up my alley! I'm so darn cheap that I just love making something out of nothing. The quilts I make for this challange will be Christmas presents. Count me in.

I have a few ready on scraps, a 1" quilt, 2" square quilt, apple core, and tumbler all cut out of my scraps. They are in my UFO pile that has been inventoried. Since I have one cupboard of scraps and a 55 gallong tub, not to mention the gallong plastic jugs that holds them as well, I will take on this challenge. Do I really have to send them away? Once you finish a scrap quilt, they are so huggable and cozy you do not want to get rid of them.

Do I get to count the THREE quilts I entered in the quilt contest??? They were ALL made out of my stash....... I am disable and living on a limited income so I am trying to use up my stash. Have too much even to think of being buried with my stash !! I hope there is quilting in heaven....

I love making scrap quilts but hate living with them. They are too busy for me. Fortunately my mom and sister love them, so they get them. I made a depression era quilt entirely out of half square triangles cut from scraps. This is queen sized and it has thick batting and is tied with wool.

I also made this one that features a lot of Halloween leftovers. Again, thick batting and wool ties.

Finally, as part of a challenge a few years ago, I made this smaller and cozy quilt that my mom uses for naps. It is entirely from scraps including the flannel backing, binding and ties. This had been a mystery project, so the pattern is a little muddied, but I still totally love that piano key border.

I am currently working on two quilts to use up those HSTs that keep multiplying in their container. I had to buy one fabric for each one because I have no background fabrics in my stash. Having a plan for your scraps makes it easier to process them a little at a time instead of having to tackle bags and bags all at once.

Great scrappy quilts. I know what you mean about having a plan. I keep starting out, and wishing I had a plan, but it keeps growing and going. Oh, well. I am almost through with a scrappy Carpenter Star using my red, white and blue scraps. Will post when it is done.
