That backing is absolutely gorgeous Kalama! Did you graph it out or plan it in EQ?

Amazing quilt Kalama, if there was an award for best quilt back I think you earned it!

I never plan anything to tell the truth, I just start putting things together on my working wall.

Love the scallops, Kass! Looking great.

KQ, incredible backing!! A work of art.

Thanks for encouragement, y'all. I'm working on a pieced border now and we'll see if it works

If the board can have Rocky as an UFO mascot, we certainly can award a Most Creative Quilt Back. And that back deserves ut!
I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it difficult to plan the day.

Well last night I thought I was finished but this morning someone said something about buying 1/4 inch bias tape, so I found some online, I will add the blue bias tape to the top following the binding about 2 inches to the inside. I tried to make my own bias tape it was a disaster! Here are the pics, I added a drawn blue line into one of the pics where the blue bias will go.

Kassaundra, I think the scallop idea was a real inspiration. This quilt has so much personality! And I love the fact that she is a sister to all of our more recognizable ORLs. Well done!

Kass, your ORLs sister is very cool! I agree with the others that the scallop border is amazing.

I am over the moon excited Ringo's Sister has her last stitches done!!!!! I bought a 1/4 bias binding after trying to make one. I got 10 yards and just had enough to overlap the ends by 1 inch! Talk about cutting it close. The border turned out just like I had pictured it in my head here is a sneak peak. I can't take good pics of it tonight.
