On Ringo Lake -- Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt 2017-18

NZquilter, that's such a pretty layout! I love your colors, too!
Kirsten, it's not hard to post photos; you do have to be able to reduce them somehow before posting. I use Fotor for Windows, which is a free download. Once your photo is reduced, you click on the 'Go Advanced' blue button just below the text window, choose a photo with the 'browse' function and then upload it. We'd love to see your units!

I use Picasa - a free program - to resize my photos. Looks like she has a lot of choices!

this is what I have attached to my bed. I've been using it for over a year now. I cut around the bobbin cover and have a hole for the oil spot - so I don't need to take it off, though I can easily loosen it from the machine and leave it attached to the table - then it lines back up perfectly when I put the table back. I love it so much I bought a second one to have in stock in case something happened to the one in use.
here is a picture I took showing how I use it to keep my seam line accurate when making the binding.

ready for #5 here, and got Two rounds on the shirts reverse side! It is now 63X88 so I'll probably only put one more round of something until I decide how big to make the Ringo side. .
love everyones mystery ideas and colors.

MacyBaby, my Santa said it was too late for gift suggestions! I’ll just have to buy it myself! Thanks for sharing your grid guide!

Everyone units are looking so good! I love seeing the alternate colors but even those using Bonnie colors look good with all the different fabrics!
Kalama your shirt quilt looks fantastic!
This is my third Bonnie Mystery but FIRST time being caught up through Clue #4! I am off work tomorrow so I hope I can get Clue #5 all finished before I have to work Saturday. The last 2 Clues have been rough but I think Bonnie will go easy on us for the next one.
For Clue # 4 I used 2 methods -- cutting each unit separately and also uneven 4-patches. Both methods turned out pretty accurate units. I checked all of them for size and only had to sliver trim a few.
Maybe this tip will help someone else -- I found I could use my Square in a Square ruler to trim and it worked really well. I agree with Belfrybat and SooBDo who speculated these Clue 4's will eventually get sewn to a triangle BUT - Bonnie can be tricky - maybe she has other plans. If so, it will be easy to cut my uneven 4-patches with my Square in a Square Ruler also.. I am not usually one for specialty rulers but I bought the SinaS for another project years ago - haven't used it since but it worked for me on this clue.
I think it was Kassaundra who said all these parts look like they belong in a Fireworks block - Great guess; I had to look that one up but you might be right so I tried a version of it. We would still need some 2" squares and something to sew to Clue #4. Maybe white?
Wonder if this mystery will include sashing units - or be set on point. It's fun to guess but in the end my guesses usually end up very different than Bonnie's plans!

Amy, thanks for showing us what the Fireworks block look like; I had never seen that pattern before. Even if Bonnie doesn't use it, it's a fun idea for future quilts.

Being at home, sick with a cold, works great for ORL progress. I finished clue #1 and added a few more of the others.
Every ones work is so beautiful, love to see it.

AmyBible, your units look great!
Kalama, that back is amazing!
It looks like I will get about half of clue #4 done, same as clues #2 and 3. I think we will get our next two Friday clues and then the reveal on New Year's Day.
Beautiful units, ube!
