Macybaby, I think this is my favorite of yours. So beautiful! The low contrast on the inner block with the high contrast around the edges really works well, imo. I think I tend to favor analogous color schemes to complementary. They are easier to look at.

I had yesterday off (from babysitting) and managed to complete Clue 8 - not sure if I will use the sashing blocks or go with something else but I like what I have so far.

congrats quiltingvagabond, your colors are great. How many clue 8 are done? 25 or 50? I had to cut my yellow 5" charms for the yellow swap on this board. 12 bags of 15 yellow charms each. Took me several hours. Just as I got back to Ringo, company showed up at my door. There went the day. Now you know why I am in the turtle club..... So easily distracted. Go bunnies, Go

I made 50 Jane, I had originally planned to make a half size this year, but got snookered in by a relatively easy clue 1 LOL

I've got my 50 sewn into a top. I went on point, but with no sashing. Now I'm trying to decide on what to do with the chevrons for a border.

My favorite part is the design and puzzle solving, now that that is over and it is the tedious sewing, I have some fabric that keeps calling me like a Siren, so far I have held strong, but it is for two one block wonders that are different then any I've seen, but I know if I stop the mystery and start on one of those I will have another ufo on my hands, hopefully I'll keep staying strong.
Macybaby - you quilt is beautiful - that looks like the layout I'm shooting for.
Kathy - your fabric looks so fun, great blocks!
I only made 1/2 the units and now wish I had made about 2/3 or so. While I am motivated to finish, I am not motivated to make more units to make the quilt a rectangle. If I had done more at the time of the clue it would have been easier. So I'm 99% decided it will be a 61" square.
I decided on using the Flying Geese in the setting triangle but then saw a photo on FB where the quilter used a full Shaded 4-patch unit then 2-tone HST to finish it out the setting triangle. It looked really good so I may play with that idea a bit.
I have 18 of 25 blocks finished and am baffled by my poor counting skills; I'm short 2 Shaded 4-patch units but have 5 coral geese and 2 brown geese left over.
Maybe next mystery I'll just save the clues - so many good ideas after the reveal! I can't imagine, even if I didn't work, having the entire, full size quilt finished so fast. I could cut the parts each week but after the reveal sew the parts as leaders & enders.
