The wool is very soft and lovely. It's Cascade 220 Sport. It's Peruvian highland wool. Perfect for kid's stuff, but you have to wash it by hand.

Now that we are in the fourth quarter of 2018...it’s time to get serious about finishing up some UFO’s. Ta dah...I sewed the last few rows of my ORL this morning. Have you ever gotten to the point of a project that you want to just be “over it”? Therefore, I am not going to fuss with borders...I’ll chose a backing in the next week and try to get it to the recipients before Christmas. Does someone here remember how many pieces there were in this quilt?

JMoore your ORL is gorgeous! Congratulations! My ORL was over 4200 pieces but I added 11 blocks to enlarge the quilt. I think each block has 49 pieces if I recall correctly.

I do not intend to do this years BH Mystery either but I must say I did learn a LOT as a new quilter by completing my ORL. I highly recommend those who'd like to sharpen their quilting skills to participate - It's a lot of work but very rewarding too!

Look forward to seeing it unfold soon!

It looks beautiful, Jmoore! I like how your aquas and corals are softer. I don't remember how many tiny pieces there were, all I remember is that it was too much for me! I made mine 3/4th size because, like you, just wanted it done! But now that it is done, I love it and use it everyday.

I wasn't able to find that many soft aquas and corals, and I really looked in my stash and on-line and in stores. Yours turned out beautiful.

jmoore, beautiful quilt!! I agree with SBG, no borders necessary.
