Or mine if I get to the plate first. LOL! I sure do love that dish and like lots of pepper on it as well. I need to make that this week!

Okay, I am buying cabbage tomorrow. Both recipes sound really good.

    Halushki

You will need a very large skillet…

1 large head of cabbage, shredded
1 large onion, chopped (more if you really like onions…I do!)
    1 pound fatty bacon
    1 pound egg noodles
    salt and pepper to taste

Cook egg noodles as directed on package. Drain. Meanwhile, cut bacon into small pieces and fry until crisp. Remove from skillet and remove part of the bacon fat For(reserving at least two tablespoons) and add copped onion. Fry until tender. Add shredded cabbage and cook until cabbage is tender. Add cooked egg noodles. Mix thoroughly. Enjoy!
Forgot to tell you to add the bacon back in! (although you probably knew to do that!)

This is such an interesting Quilting Board. I never would've thought about cabbage and noodles. Cabbage and bacon, yes, but never noodles. Guess I've lived a very sheltered life. I better start living!

Hmmmmm....we have 1/2 dozen cabbage from our garden in the fridge. Methinks a little colcannon is in order tonight!! I haven't made that for ages. Thanks for the reminder. DH dug spuds a couple of days ago, so fresh spuds in this dish will be sooo good too.
