I think ours would be Karo syrup but the dark kind not the clear kind.

Treacle is NOT golden syrup treacle is MOLASSES. The jar will say Lyles Black Treacles that ia molasses. Lyles Golden Syrup is different. They are both from cane sugar but diferent processing.
