I luv cottage cheese. I do a similar recipe and add the dill and grape tomatoes and sliced green olives. Luv it with Wheat Thins.

Do you think I could use dried dill if I can not locate fresh?

Unfortunately the taste will not compare. Try a farmer's market to see if you can get some. I grow a lot of it and I freeze mine for the winter rather than dry it as the flavour is much better than the dried.

I use dried dill quite often, personally I do like the flavor, has a nice dill taste. I just let it set a bit to let the flavor develop. As with all dried herbs, you should use less than you do with the fresh herbs. Try it, you'll like it.
