Need Crock Pot Recipes
I have started a new job and my daughter is definitely not a cook but loves home cooking. I just got a 4 quart Crock Pot and it did come with a book. Never tried any of the recipes in the book. I know that a lot of you love to cook and I need help.
If I could use the Crock Pot twice a week and then freeze in meal portions for reheating that would be so great.
Please help

There are a bazillion of them on Mr..google. I find my recipes there. I like to throw in some boneless skinless chicken breasts with an envelope of onion soup and a jar of orange marmalade and let it cook 4 hours on high. You can substitute salsa for the orange marmalade. There are endless possibilities.
Can do beef cubes and cream of mushroom soup. Could add an envelope of onion soup.

Don't forget to get crockpot liners in the grocery near the foil and saran wrap. Makes clean up a breeze.

I usually do this in the dutch oven, but it's a crock pot recipe:
Crockpot Tangy BBQ Chicken
- 1 bag of baby carrots
- 1 chopped red onion
- 20 oz. can undrained pineapple
- 2 chopped garlic cloves
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
Put everything in a zipper bag. When ready to make, cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours in slow cooker.
Before serving, shred chicken and serve on buns.
I usually do some on rice one day, and then on buns another day.

I love the chicken breasts with cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup and cheddar soup , salt and pepper put in crock pot on low all day ... make egg noodles or rice when you get home... put chicken on top...
serve with a salad and rolls.

I put a frozen roast in the bottom, add a pack of Lipton onion soup mix and 1/2 cup water. Cook on low for maybe 6 or 8 hours. Remove roast. Shred it and remove fat. Mix a cup of cold water with some flour for thickening (I use about 1/4 cup flour.) Add to crock pot along withe shredded beef. Cook an additional hour. Serve over steamed rice or wide egg noodles. I like to serve petite sweet peas as a side dish.
Cook 1 lb hamburger. Add to crockpot. Slice up a kielbasa and brown in saute pan. Add to crock. Optionally, also brown sweet and/or hot Italian sausage. Add that to crock. In olive oil, saute a large chopped green pepper a large green onion, chopped. Add that. Then add a couple cloves of garlic, diced, a teaspoon of oregano, 2 teaspoons of basil, a teaspoon of Italian seasoning, salt & pepper, mushrooms, large can of petite diced tomatoes, large can of crushed tomatoes, large can of tomato paste, and a teaspoon of sugar. Cook on low for 4-6 hours. Serve over pasta with black olives and garlic bread.
I cook dried beans in my crockpot. I sort them and wash them. Then I put them in the crock and cover with water to within 1 or 2 inches of the top of crock. At about 11:00pm I turn it on low heat. They are ready the next day at about 3:00 to 5:00pm. Serve them with cornbread to make a complete protein.
I make split pea soup in mine and white bean chile. Go to All Recipes for the recipes. I also put a pork roast in the crock, cook it on low about 6 hours, shredd it, return to crock and add barbeque sauce. Then cook for another half hour or so. Serve on hamburger buns with coleslaw and fries.
Scramble & brown either 1 lb sausage or hamburger. Put a large block of cheese in crock, add meat and 2 cans Rotel tomatoes. Heat on low until cheese melts. Serve with tortilla chips.
Sorry I didn't give exact amounts of everything, but I am a pinch of this, a dash of that, sort of cook. I have never shared my spaghetti sauce recipe until now, but it's very good.

My family likes one pack brown gravy mix, one pack Italian seasoning, one pack ranch dressing and 2 cans beef broth mix together and pour into the crock pot, place beef roast and cook slow all night long, serve with rice or noodles.

Just google Crockpot recipes, tons of them out there. Some have comments, might be tried and true. Also google slow cooker recipes. Rival is the only one that can use crockpot name, they invented it. I've never ruined a meal in a crockpot and love it for both summer and winter, keeps the kitchen temps down in summer heat. My favorite is a pork tenderloin or roast. Put in the crock, slice an onion over it, pour a can of pork gravy on top. You have meat and gravy and only need mashed potatoes. Or put small potatoes in bottom of crock and add the rest. I don't peel them only cut in half. Cook about 6 hr on low, less time on high. I'll find a few others of my favorites. Have a French Onion soup that is better than any you'll ever find, home cooked or restaurant.

My favorite is minestrone soup. For some reason I can't find the recipe - but they are on the internet and easy to find.
My DH loves it too. But his favorite is a turkey breast (either the one on the bone or the small roast). We cook them up for dinner and then the rest is for sandwiches. Once the meat is cooked you can leave the left over broth in the pot and use it for turkey stew. (Just cut up a bunch of vegetables, chop up some of the turkey meat, add some water and thickener let it cook some more and there you have another meal.) I usually remove it, let it cool in the fridge to pull the fat off the top, then cook the stew. My DD likes it served over rice, but my mom used to make biscuits.
