Sorry to hear of tummy troubles but oh, how life lets us know what we need to be doing anyway. You are on the right track. I'll have to give your easy lunch a try, I have all of that in my fridge right now. I definitely believe sugar is like heroin but then, so is buying fabric. Once when I took a friend to A&E for the first time here in Pensacola, after about an hour, she said, "This must be what crack feels like."

I'm tickled pink that there are so many success stories! I'm considering the Swank diet, which is antiinflammatory, since I just learned I have MS. It looks as though there are many scientific studies to back it up. It could be very useful for any inflammatory disease, including those of the bowel. Your successes encourage me and give me hope that I can kick my chocolate addiction. Congratulations to you all for sticking with the changes!

Good for you. Keep us posted on your success. Have to agree that sugar is a downfall and it is in so many things we don't even realize how much we consume.

Nice going Jan. Something many of us can consider for improving our overall health. Sounds pretty good.

Everyone has to find what works for them long term. Not long ago I gave up all the natural organic raw low fat low carb this and that. Now I eat when I get hungry and eat what I want. I have lost 26lbs. Many times I will eat dessert first and not be hungry for anything else. Before I would eat my healthy foods and still want dessert. I take a quality real food vitamin and forget it.

My Doctor said to forget Potatoes, Rice, Pasta, Bread, and sugar. ALL things with flour and cornmeal. IT takes at least 10 full days for the cravings to stop, but I do feel better.

If you want to kick the sugar habit, eat the butter. Your brain needs fat, and it keeps telling you you're hungry. If you give it sugar, it will keep on telling you you're hungry. Give it some good fat (like butter) and it will be satisfied much longer. After a while, I found I really didn't even like all that sweet stuff. I lost 30 pounds without even thinking about it. I just noticed by wrists were thinner and was shocked when I got on the scale.
