My first book was the Better Homes and Garden...
My first book was the Better Homes and Garden Quilting book and I use it every time I start a new project. It has a separate paragraph for each step of quilting with color pictures.

I have found that "mark be gone" works real good....

I'm with you. I find that I don't have any solids when I need them. So I have decided to just buy a bunch of various colors so I have them when I need them.
