If I want something quilt related I have to be very specific or they don't want to get the wrong thing. Usually my DH says "just order it and I'll wrap it okay?" Once I saw the EPP Accuquit Qube on sale for $159. (Normally $300+) so I ordered it and said, "You just bought my Christmas present." I think it was in August or September, but I put it away and he wrapped it for Christmas. I love it! At 70 I am not really wanting something - much prefer to spend the time and money with family and friends. Good food and good times together.

[QUOTE=Iceblossom;8667155]I know it sounds kind of... well something... but I am hoping for enough vision to use my already accumulated stuff!

I 100% understand! I have two inherited eye conditions that can lead to blindness and, unfortunately, I'm getting closer to it. I can still drive, but dread my next Dr appt!

Everytime I buy an expensive item I want, I say I bought my Birthday, Mother's Day, Anniversary, Valentines, Christmas (which ever is closest) present. One day my husband said haven't you had four birthdays this year? LOL

So I really hoped someone would ask how my beauty queen (hint, whirled peas) wish translated into a quilt present ....the best present I could get would be time to quilt.

That being said, Ice Blossom, being able to see well enough to quilt is much better than me having a drama-free Christmas. I hope your vision comes back with gusto!

ibex94, I make ham and pea soup for my hubby's work every year. I send it with some nice crusty bread. rolls. The guys just love it and ask when they haven't gotten it yet. Now hubby has three stores to manage and I make for all of them. I know first-hand what peas in a blender looks like. LOL!

RedGarnet -- that is too funny!

What's the recipe? Is the ham blended in, too? I haven't had a good pea soup in quite a while.

I would like a month of uninterrupted time in my sewing room. Meals made and house cleaned for me. When the month is up, I’d like another month. Am I asking too much ?
