I always order or go to JoAnns or a LQS. The only real yardage I have is floral or some of landscape. I don't mind as long as my budget holds ok. Besides, what I give I get back in return only in prints I've never seen before. Oh I do have a lot of Oriental but most of what I have is in half yards. Then too I have about 9 totes of this stuff!!

Ive got a few lil pieces of oriental.. quarter cuts an fqs.. but nothing large either.. Not sure where they came from as Ive never got into the orientals.. My focus has always been 1930, batiks and the colored fabrics: red, blues, purples, etc.. and Ive got a TON of pink!! Guess my lil one was at first thought when i got those..

I had greens and will have blues and possobly christmas(will have to check yardage)and need a couple stars or stripes, but I didn't have specialty fabs. Didnt really know anything about them and had no reason/teacher to learn. These swaps not only give me a great new variety of stuff that i never would have had, but I'm learning new stuff!

Glad we could help. I only came across 1930's when I was at an auction and they had original feedsacks... After that I was hooked.. I wanted every and all reproduction.. I was happy with fq's since I like scrappy. then hubby got me a month subscription for the 1930's and CW fabrics so - thats how my collection began...
We will have another 1930 swap next year.. Count on it..

I thought they were pretty gloomy and drab in color too, but then considered the timeline and figured thats just the way it was "back then".

I can't say that I like them that well, but I've only really seen MINE so far...lol. A whole bunch of others may prove to be quite delightful!

I'm lovin the colors! I wanted to get all the fabric but had to limit myself to just 3 but I did get extra yardage for me. I can't wait to see what I get!
