Love the tote bag and umbrella suggestion.

Here is a link to a free pattern from Simplicity that I found here on the board:

Would be cute for adults and/or children...

I'd hate to cut it up because it is so cute so I'd keep it for a border and make fun blocks picking colors from this fabric

No offense, but why would you buy that?! Donate it

That's adorable!! Can you find a panel (or make your own) of Waldo's face? Put him in the middle and it would make a good snugglie for a little kid. No problem finding Waldo when he's a big face in the middle in spite of all the umbrellas :)

My DH says make a picture quilt with an insert of a boy stomping in a puddle, but I don't know how to do that. Ideas?
If you want to use your husband's idea, you could use a Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Sam sharing an umbrella for a big center block, and then use the umbrella fabric in a windmill block for the rest of the quilt. Wouldn't it make a cute anniversary gift for someone?

I think a applique wallhanging of my favourite movie would be ideal. Singing In The Rain! I can see the street light, and a silhouette holding an umbrella. No need to worry about the face if it's behind the umbrella. Use the umbrella fabric for a nice wide border. Just another suggestion to add to the dozens you already have.
