Today it was getting up and reading well wishes from everyone here. Such a simple gift. The thing that ties us together? we love fabric. I wonder do other artists of different mediums (say painters or potters?) go to sites like this to spend time with each other? Maybe quilting is different.. its like that cup of warm tea in front of a fire? your home. Thats what coming here is like. Coming home. Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart for opening your hearts and sharing your thoughts.

What made me happy today was being able to spend the evening with DH. He was able to come home a little early today. We went out for pizza and ice cream. Very decadent and lots of fun.

Got my on-line fabric order in the mail.
Wrapped up 2 weeks of teaching for which I will get paid for my time, mileage and lunches. Would have done it for free but the $ will be nice.
Also visited a newer fabric store and the fabric is $8/yard and when you buy 9 fat quarters, you recieve one free. Of course I bought 9 for the other free one.

My son called from Afghanistan this morning too..it was great to hear his voice!
So glad your son could call. How exciting. I lived for those calls when my daughter was in Iraq.

It rained, and we didn't get re-flooded. :-)

DH is playing in the dirt, getting ready to plant balckberries and raspberries. I am playing the Olivia while Mom and Dad house hunt.
