I just read this entire thread....backwards, just to be different. Somewhere in the ninety something pages someone was asking about the table for the 301 and how much to offer. I have been paying attention to those as I have been toying with the idea of getting one. It depends on condition and what you want it for. Are you going to use it or is it to collect? Please notice the size of the cut-out in these tables as far as what machine fits long or short bed. Some tables have been modified. There was one on E-bay recently listed for 75.00 that didn't sell. If it's in good condition I wouldn't pay more than 50 to 60 bucks. If it's perfect, I would give a little more. The genuine tables do have a serial number on the under the table edge.

Wow, that white Featherweight is beautiful! Colour me green with envy!

I have my Singer 27 ready for cleaning, finally free of the cabinet and all the silver bits removed. Just trying to decide what I want to tacle first: rust-removal and polishing of the silver parts (including the green stuff all over the attachments), or the grime and oil-caked dust on/in the machine itself.

Hmm sounds like fun! I would personally start with the machine itself. Good luck cleaning. Remeber to stretch your fingers before starting :mrgreen: Hehe

I was able to find both kerosene and the pourable liquid gold at Lowe's.
Back to reading....I love this VS.
Still hoping to get pictures up of my 'new' treasures. Running out of room for all of them tho' Newest baby arrived this week, one in transit.

You know what - I don't know for sure! But it sure was purty. There was only one picture, of the sewing machine head and the top part of the case. It is an older treadle, missing a drawer and some pulls, but I hope I can find replacements. The lady told me on the phone that she rescued it from someone who was going to throw it out. She claimed it was from 1897 or thereabouts, but I don't know if that is accurate. Sometimes people confuse the patent dates on the machine with the date the machine was made.

I am going to pick it up today, so will get the serial #, look it up, post pictures, etc.
