Sewbiz your border idea is cool. I will have lots of 1/2 shaded 4 patches left, the pieced half, the other half I am canabalizing for the extra coral flying geese I need for my design. I will putz w/ trying to figure out a border when I know what I actually have left, it will be those they are blue and, my light blue (looks white in the pics) and then the black and light blue flying geese.

I don't know if this link will work, if it doesn't I'll take the pictures I talked about tomorrow. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2910..._comment_reply

I've been sewing my 160 3.5" pieced square units to make my border. I have plenty of work left, but here is a sneak peek of what it will look like:

It's the same as the Merry Mayhem New Year's Day mystery used. I love it... just hope it shows up ok on my busy quilt.
That is just super SBG! Love it!

I’m also making mine bigger, king size, 85 blocks. I was going to make just Bonnie’s size, and even had my backing set aside for it, then I fell in love with the reveal. This is my favorite of her mysteries so far. So back to clue one. But I did spend my last day off cutting everything, so now it is just sewing while I watch tv.

Glad you all like the border I'm doing. It's another option out there for anyone who needs it....

If you try it, be sure to take note that in each pair in my border, there is one with the orange triangle on the left and one with the orange triangle on the right. So to make the rick rack look you need to make half one way and half the other.

Is there a name for these HSTs made with 3 triangles?

SBG, I think the MMMQ pattern for your border is a great idea! With the strong blue color you have it's gonna be just snazzy! Your top is mostly orange, so I think the blue will stand out well, why not? :-) You could add a one inch blue border on either side of your zigzag if you are worried about that.

Yes, there's a name for those, but it escapes me presently.
