Up at 5am. Why is it that during the week when I need to be up at 4:45am I can't wake up for anything, but let the weekend come where I can sleep in and I'm up at 5am!! I actually started this yesterday, but finished up this morning!! I went through all of my containers of material and sorted everything out by color, tone, etc. Then I labeled everything so I wouldn't have to look in all of those containers for anything. Boy, what a job!! I still have different things to go through before its completed though. What a job!!! I am bound and determined to get everything re-organized. Can't work like this!! I have found duplicates of material like to couldn't believe and found stuff that I never new I had!!  Will not buy anything from JoAnn's or any other place else until this is all done!!

We drove a long way, thought we were lost, but finally found the house. A delightful youngish woman who worked as a home health nurse. The next morning when we got up, she had already left for work but had left a marvelous breakfast of eggs, sausage, biscuits warming in the oven, homemade cinnamon buns and lots of coffee. We sat on her back deck which hung over a steep ravine and gazed across the mountains at daybreak! It was so peaceful and beautiful we didn't want to leave! This was a wonderful time for me and my Mom and Dad.
Polly, just sent you a pm. I live in OKC

Remember me saying that I liked to get up early to have a couple of hours to myself??? Well, I went downstairs this morning about 7:30 our time and what do I find??? DD is up, dressed and on the computer checking for garage sales! We went to one just a couple of miles away, found a nice sleeping bag for her slumber party next weekend, and there was wild burdock growing. I said, "Oh, you have wild burdock. Do you use it? Would you mind if I dug up some of the roots?" The lady let me so it was off to Walmart to buy rubbing alcohol. I've cleaned, cut, quartered the roots and put them in the alcohol. Now all I have to do is wait until it turns brown and I have my arthritis rub. YEA!!!!!!

It's that fat leafed weed that grows in fence rows or beside garages/outbuildings. Some people think it looks like Rhubarb.

Actually you can. It can be dried and made into tea, eaten in a salad, or cooked in greens. It's kind of bitter though. I asked a professor at the Univ. of Il. that's studied weeds and home remedies about it and he gave me that information. He said that it's been used to years and years to alleviate pain and that the American Indians used it to help with the pain of childbirth.
I'm not sure how they used it though.
My cousin scored and crushed the leaves with a rolling pin, dipped them in hot water and wrapped his gout engorged foot with them. Then he wrapped a towel around the leaves to hold the heat in. He said it helped.

Yep, been tested by various doctors and specialists................it's official................I'm allergic to mornings!

Not my finest time of day. I like staying up until at least 2-3 am. Been getting up just before 9, tho' last night/morning didn't go to bed until after. Slept then stayed in bed until 11.

I've never been a morning person, even as a kid. But I work p/t, first week of the month and every Monday. When I have to be in at 7am, I'm up at 4:45. I try to get to bed 10-11ish, but just can't fall asleep. By the time I get home at 4:30-5, I'm ready for a nap, but fight thru that too.
