You are ahead of many of us if you already have 2 made. We just "offocially" started today with the first 2, so you are right on schedule. Hope you are able to finish this and myself as well as I fall between the cracks also ;)

I don't think it will ever be too late to join in. Welcome to the party!

My fave quilting notion: Clover Quilt Fork Pins. You can see a good pic here... http://www.threadandmore.com/scripts...idproduct=5659 They can be purchased just about anywhere. The only thing that would align seams better than those pins would be... uh, hiring a professional to align your seams for you? Love 'em.

Templates with freezer paper...

For me, I print them on regular printer paper then iron the freezer papr to the back about 3-4 layers depending on how it feels. I agree with the good template advice from all above... in particular using narrow lines..... when you look at what the book-CD prints out... you have to trace AROUND this template you make on the fabric, then when cutting out the fabric, dont let the width of the *tracing line* make the template any larger than the fine outlines of the CD already printed..
With practice, you get better at this.

Ok, I have two seams sewn on piece one/rotary cutting. How do I iron the seams? Toward dark, toward center, open ?? I don't want to mess up right from the start.

ok... I dont know how bad this sounds... I cut out my paper templates and then stickied one to the bottom of my 6x6 clear ruler, cut two sides... then turned it.

it is NOT accurate! but I am anti work right now and didnt want to make sturdier templates.

crossing my fingers to HOPE they match up! X

with something this small I would press open.

finger pressing works well with small pieces!

Hi All,
Here are my first two blocks. I am so glad this has finally started. All the blocks look great! I finally used my scanner for the first time. I have no idea how they will look here!

Honchey these blocks are beautiful, could I ask you to add them to the picture thread, this is for the discussion and I don't want people to get the two confused and tangles or will be fishing for everything ago.
thank you
Muriel
