I just bought raffle tickets for 3/$5.....the quilt was machine pieced and hand quilted.. I asked to buy the winning ticket----but obviously didn't get it.

I agree with all those who have suggested selling your raffle tickets at $1.00 each or 6 tickets for $5.00. Good luck with your raffle, and its cause! :D

I would spend $5.00 on a raffle ticket or 3 for $10.00 if it was for a cause I supported. I can't think of a better cause than a mission trip. So, yes, I would.

Go cheaper and sell MORE. If they're only $1 or $2, most people will buy at least one, and maybe 5. But if they're $5, they may not buy one. Hope you do well, though!

Well I would have to ask how long are you going to sell tickets before you pick the winning number? I just completed a county-wide raffle and sold tickets from May for a King size. I sold tickets until I raffled it in August and made over $1300. But I made a wall-hanging size quilt for a raffle that was displayed and the winning ticket picked all in one weekend. I am pretty sure that they made $250. For all the raffles done in our community, they are normally sold for $1.00 or 6 for $5.00

Every year a group make a quilt to raffle for $ to support paying postage for sending items to the troops. She sells tickets for about 3/4 months and makes about $900.00.

AS a retired missionary to the Philippines, I would, of course buy a ticket for $5. During this economy, $2 each or 3 for $5 might be a better price.

Nope I wouldn't and most of the people I know would not either. Here the going rate is 1/$2 or 3/$5. The more you sell the more money you'll make. Good luck.
