Lesley...youtube or not...girl, you gotta show us a pic of this skirt before you give it back to Gordon!
It's going to look a real mess, Pattie. The top is bright white because its made of man made satin, and the silk is creamy because you can't get bright white natural fibres. I think she intends to wear red shoes and a wide red belt to help detract from the change in colours. And at the moment it has the circular skirt on it that I put on, approx 48in long. There is a semicircle in the front, and two quarter circles at the back, with a centre back seam. Now you have to picture quarter arcs, all seamed together (how the dickens I am supposed to get those seams straight and not buckle when they will all be on different biases), 18in in depth, added to the bottom. As far as I can see, even if I get them all on reasonably well, they are going to look a complete mess. I think it would have been far easier if they had bought a parachute!

No, Elle, apparently she will be doing this 'performance' in a competition in Germany. You and Patti can both fly there, and perhaps Mad will join you so that she can visit with the family. (every time she mentions her German background, I try to imagine her with half a German accent, and it just doesn't work!)

But guess what, the postie is on my side this week, and the wretched silk fabric hasn't arrived (we don't have a delivery on Saturdays, so the earliest it can come now is Monday). IN the meantime, I have still been making blocks. I finished the last Tri about 10 minutes ago. It was a b****r. I kept trying to work out how it went together, and couldn't do it. Finally I realised that two pieces were missing from the foundation pattern! No wonder I couldn't get it to work. After I traced the offending pieces from the book, it made the world of difference.

I'll make a note of the problem in my journal so that I will be able to help out when you all get to that point.
