I just ordered the book and am looking forward to joining in on my very first quilt-along! I have a lot of scraps to use up plus new fabrics too. I'm not going to make a full size quilt but am thinking I'll do the blocks and then divide them up for smaller projects. This should be fun. I'll try to keep up!

Me too, husky! The timing is just right for this one.

Cooky, I did this with both of her other quilts we did together as a group! I got two great size lap quilts out of each. I will do this again with this one as well. I don't need any more large quilts.

Welcome, Sophie--I'm anxious to see the FWS from a UK perspective. This is going to be a lot of fun.

That is a long time! I'm sure it will go fast though! I printed out the template for the first block today. I want to experiment with the paper piecing and see if I'm going to go that way, or do normal rotary cutting. Considering some of the blocks are quite complex (Em) and will have tiny pieces, normal cutting/sewing seems impossible!

That's exactly what happened to me when I first started pping 2 books ago....it's doable hand sewing but not for me with the bitty pieces...

I just recounted and this number is better and correct "42" sorry,
