I am in as well I know I might have to buy backing and some solids or blenders but I have tons and tons of prints so my goal is to make every quilt at least 50% out of stuff I already have to keep my buying to a minimum.

Well count me in. I find this to be so helpful ..... using the stash that I have. Its saved me a lot of money!!!! And then when I do purchase I'm really OK with what I buy. 2017 here we come.

I'm in! For both quilting and garment fabric.

berryberry, may I ask what is a temperature quilt? It sounds interesting.
It's on another thread under contests and challenges. The thread is called temperature quilt 2017. I'm going to do the half square triangles showing the high and the low for each day. Since I'm using the charm fabrics, I'll have 2 for each day. I think how I'll end up is starting is in the upper left corner and lower right. Not real sure about how I'm going to put it together until I see some of it on a design board.

I called the hubs after work to tell him that I was thinking of going to the LQS and I needed him to talk me off the ledge. His answer: But honey, that means you'd be right by my office and we could go have dinner at the Thai place. Needless to say - I went and saved $175 on their year-end sale. They had a selection perfect for backings and if you bought 5 yards, it was 75% off. Now to find space......
Oh, dinner was nice too.

Interesting post. Seeing all these "closings" looks like there may well be a change occurring. Online quilting is definitely influencing quilting.

No surprise, I am in again. Was doing quite well on the "fitting all the fabric in the armoire" goal and then a dear friend gave me well over 100 yards. So that will still be my goal for this year once again. This does not mean I bought absolutely no fabric. Sometimes you need to. It's shop stash first.

I definitely need to join this group. I find if I stay out of the fabric stores I do good, but if I go in one for any reason, I lose. My goal is to see what I can do without shopping for at least 6 months. Wish me luck.

Rob
Ad Block Plus would solve that problem. <grin>
