I have a 221 Featherweight and sew on it a lot! What is the difference between 221 and 222? Thanks!

i'm a newbee here -- but i found a website selling all kinds of vintage machines -- and the 222 i saw was made in the 60's i think -- and i think it had zig zag and the feed dogs drop.
the "seasoned" owners will let you know for sure.

The 222 is a freearm. Has a removable bed so you can sew on cuffs and sleeves. Also has an embroidery hoop (very small) as part of the assessories. Slightly heavier by a pound 3 ounces. Otherwise looks much like a regular 221. The zig zig is an extra attachment.
