I'm going to finish a couple quilts this weekend and hopefully do some embroidery. I would like to try out the AcuFil function on my 11000. My husband has been itching for me to try so he can see how well it works.

I have a small quilt I made for practicing a quilting pattern then a larger quilt that will be using that pattern. I appliqued a celtic knot on the border, thinking I measured twice, sewn once? NOT. The knot is 4" off center. Last night I removed the border, today will center it then I want to quilt it. So far, the little one is loaded on my HQ 16 and waiting to go (here I sit). I also had to rip and replace the borders on that one as I really hated what I'd chosen. That will be a Project Linus quilt. The bigger one (about 70x70) is a gift for my personal trainer and I really want it gifted already!

Laurie who is off to the sewing studio to work now. Will check back during a break.

I am going to try toget my mom's memory quilt ready to go to the long arm quilter. I only have 4 blocks to finsih and then join 2 rows to the rest. Shouldn't take too long...if I could just tear myself away from the computer...!

I made 10 pinwheels blocks today. I find it so much easier if I cut several at a time, then piece in a assembly line fashion. I do a lot of pressing along the way. When cutting those out I am also cutting dresden plate pieces at the same time. I haven't started sewing them yet but will when I get a lot of them cut. They are easy to do with the dresden plate ruler.

Ok, will try this again, new to all this still. Lost what I just typed, so if it does post, sorry......I see u like the dresden and pin wheels, me too. Have bought a few patterns with both and in my books. Being new to this I really want to tackle these blocks!!.... New to the board and new to quilting but not afraid to tackle things. So if I have any questions, can I ask you......I am so excited about the board and everyone is so nice and there to help.....

It's unusual, but our Arizona weather is cool and rainy this weekend, and hubby is out of town, so I'm working on a flannel baby quilt, and maybe doing a little shopping at Joann's big sale.
