No advice as I hate doing them as well.

I agree with you. Mostly, I think 'hand' is a 4-letter word, but I LOVE to hand sew the binding. It's like I'm "connecting" to it. Like cherylynne says - it's almost done!

I hate, hate, hate, doing binding also. I did watch the tut on u tube that was posted a few days ago and that helped, but it doesn't work on the mug rugs to well. I even bought the elmers glue.... I do not like hand sewing, so that is my big hang up and still can't make things look decent machine sewing the last side...

I have a really hard time with binding. The projects sit until I get up the nerves of steel and get to it. This tutorial helped me out. It is easy to follow and the results are very nice! I'm not as intimidated by the binding as I used to be.

I don't like to do the binding either! I can hand applique for hours at a time, but doing the binding is just boring.
I have learned to do it all be machine and like doing it that way much better. It's lots faster than by hand.

This describes the way I feel at the end of a quilt, too. Couldn't have said it better!

It's certainly not my favorite thing to do... I think because I'm a perfectionist, and I can't always get the corners exactly the way I want them! Sometimes I bind by hand, sometimes totally by machine... depends on my mood.

I, too, think I have 4 quilts waiting for binding! It's not creative for me and that's why I do not enjoy working with it.

I hate binding too... I am trying to learn to do it on the machine but haven't had good success-it is quick. I do take binding projects to my small quilt group because it is portable. I am also trying my hand at applique-very time consuming.
