Here in south Ga it's gone on for years--along with shrimp. I made the mistake of buying steaks once and had to throw them out.

I had one come to the door at dusk one day when I was here alone. He said they didn't sell all the meat that day and he could give me a really good deal. Luckily my avatar Hunter came and stood by my side and the seller decided he didn't really have any extra and left. If he could have seen Hunter's back end he would have seen his tail wagging like mad and he was saying OH BOY, MEAT BROUGHT TO MY DOOR.

Sort of like the Mexican ladies at the Foodmaxx parking lot selling tamales. No thanks.
I had some ladies come to my door selling tamales. I polite said "NO", but I was thinking "Are they out of their mind?"

You really don't know where your meat comes from at the store either. It could be Mexico or Japan, even South America.

I do the same thing, but I have purchased burritos from kids selling business to business. Never got sick

They come around here occasionally....I just delivered to your neighbor so&so, have some left, would you be interested? NO. NO? You don't eat meat? Told them this last time I have high cholesterol, lol.

When we lived in town, my son answered the door to one of these guys, and told them NO THANKS, we don't buy meat off a truck when we live right around the corner from the morgue. Lol.....

My lamb comes from Australia, and that's a good thing.
