Daily if I can. Always before work. I never look at a clock to see if I have time to 'finish a seam', I just start sewing, and stop when I need to leave, leaving the fabric under the needle, then just start again when I can. I keep UFO's bundle and ready to pick up if we go camping. I keep handwork, yo-yos, etc. in zip-lock bags ready to go with me when we driving. I agree with everyone that said those 15 minutes add up.

It depends on my mood. Sometimes I can go 2 or 3 days and not sew at all, then when the inspiration hits me I can sew all day for a week or more. Mind you it does help being retired now as my time is my own, at long last. Another thing I've noticed is that sewing is one of the best diets for me, because when I get lost in what I'm doing lunch time comes and goes without my even noticing!! I'm sure I've lost weight since I started quilting.

So when I go for my 15 minutes, it usually warps into a couple of hours. When life happens, I can still keep my promise as 15 minutes isn't much, but it does add up.
It's a method that's working for me. I have gotten a lot done since January.

HA! My job is just getting in the way of my life. and then of course it is the DH and the home from college kids. It is like herding cats.... Would like to do more. I am lucky to get 1-2 hours in the summer but football season is better because kids are at college and hubby is parked in front of TV!

I don't sew everyday as I have 3 kids that seem to always be going in different directions. Monday nights are mine to sew with my friends at a local church, and then if I can steal time on Wednesday or Friday and most weekends. I'm looking forward to retirement........only 29 more years to go!!!!!
