If this is a sneaky bunch then I would assume all is fair in love and secret santa. Does this mean I can have someone else ask the person that I am going to be SS for all kinds of question so that I get the info yet they will be less the wiser and not know it is me that wants to know? Could I have another member PM my person and they could be like "HAY BABY WHAT DO YOU LIKE" This is just as much fun being SS as having someone be my SS and me trying to figure out who they are. Watch out fellow quilters I am ready for you all...... let the game begin.

the count down has started 53 days to go.

What about considering New Thread for participants, beginning after the cutoff on Friday?

We could all answer some type basic questions to get acquainted:

These are only EXAMPLES of Q&As we could ask:

Favorite type of fabrics, and those we like least
- Love batiks, but have not get grown fond of 30's reproduction

Favorite and Least Favorite Colors:
- Love warm and peachy, fall colors, brights, jewels. Least favorite: teal

Please describe your pets, their breed and their names OR No pets?
- French Bulldog, "Fido", shorthair orange tabby "Whiskers"

Favorite reading material?
- Quilting magazines!

Chocolate, Hard Candy, Sweets or None?
- Love Chocolate, but must choose NONE. ):

Scented products, or scent free?
- Lightly scented is good!

Types of quilting projects you enjoy, and those you have yet to try?
-Like piecing the most. Want to try fabric painting.

Just a thought. I'm sure there are better and more questions/ideas.

By the way, is there going to be an announcement soon on the Main Board regarding Secret Santa signups closing?

I like this idea. Another thought perhaps if they are non christian I would hate to send someone something real Christmasy if they have no use for it.

Good idea, let's see if the hostess feels we can do this, then perhaps a brief question list could be compiled. It would be a fun way to get more acquainted with everyone.
