If you put an email address on the sign-up form, they will send the coupons by email instead of mail. One of the salesladies told me this, so I erased my email address. Now I get both email and snailmail!!

I agree with you that most of the time their things are already marked on sale for 25% or 30% off and that negates my coupon. I try to always find something (anything) to use my coupon on, but it's not always easy. I find it discouraging at times.

Good question since they have been putting so many things on sale. I look at things NOT on sale but if I don't find anything I 'need' I don't use the coupon that particular period. Not worth it to me to buy stuff I don't need since there is plenty of things I want and/or need.

On buying any fabric that is not on sale: if they don't have enough let's say on a specific color of Kona you can order the number of yards you need and it counts at the sale rate. Kona is rarely on sale so for that one fabric or any other you find, it is handy to know.
:-D

Look for anything related to quilting and buy it if it is not on sale.

I had a 20% off the entire order, including sale items. I asked the clerk if I could use that along with my 40% off (if I could find a regular priced item). She said that I could. When I went through the line with my regular priced batting, she wouldn't take the 20% because I only had 1 item!!!! They will find a way to get you!

I buy online from them already once in a while. I don't get any sale fliers or coupons.

You can sign up for their mailing list in the store on on line. It takes a month or so to start getting the mailings, and you need to have it scanned at the store periodically so that you stay on the mailing list.

I usually save my coupons for batting or books because the fabric I want is always on sale.

I have been known to purchase an item with my 40% off coupon, take it to the car and return to purchase another wanted item with a 2nd coupon. When I have to drive nearly 50 miles to a JoAnn's, gas is more than $3.40b/gal, and they won't accept Michael's coupons or honor my 20% off the entire purchase -- even though the FINE PRINT says it applies to sale and clearance items, I feel justified.

I check my sales receipt like a hawk before leaving the store, since I have found frequent pricing errors -- all to their benefit. I've been charged for one article twice, been charged for something I didn't purchase and/or been charged the regular rather than the sale price.

Google JoAnn's coupons. I can usually find a 20% off the entire order coupon using this method. Recently I've noticed that when I print the 40% off coupon from JoAnn's website, my last name appears on the coupon. What's up with THAT?
