Funny i have thought to do the same thing before but was scared it would not work out. I have fabric pens so now i know if worst comes to worst i can use them .Thanks everyone .

My experience has been once a quilt is washed all the little mistakes disappear and the quilt takes on a life of it's own.

I've done this when mending. If I have white thread and mending blue jeans, (and I'm in a hurry), I just color the thread.

A great idea to use permanent fabric markers - will have to store that info for future use.
