Her first post stated written by two English women Does that give any hint?

Oh gosh, I think I have - or had- that book! I'm not at home at the moment - can't wait to get back and see if it's on the shelf. Sounds as if its value may have just increased considerably!

I too would like to know the name of this book. Does anyone know yet? Sounds interesting. I have never done a tied quilt. Time to do it.

I made a quilt for my niece and tied it, except instead of tying it, I did a whip stitch, then sewed a 1/4" pink satin ribbon and tied a bow with it, then tacked it down so it stayed a bow. It was a real pain but I loved how it turned out. It's been about 3 years now, so I don't know how it's held up over the years of use, but it was cute. I've never liked the look of tied quilts, but I admit it's a lot easier than quilting on a machine, although that is my preference - love the feathers!

Maybe people are getting worn out with all of the "quilting" options. Back to basics?!!

My grandmother and mother tied all their quilts. I like both tied and stitched quilts. Pick what works best either for you or for the quilt's pattern and go for it.

The book I have is a different weekend quilt book by Rosemary Wilkinson, and the quilts aren't tied. Oh well - thought I had the answer for a moment there!

I still have hope that she'll find that book and post the name of the book. I've been checking every day to see if I can find it for us but no luck yet
