Since it is so hot there...I am guessing you are not in the flood that is going on down under? At least I hope you are hot having that type problem. I am almost through with the center I am working on and will send as soon as I finish since we have a time thing to our Ausie friend.

Guessing right Kay  The floods are over on the East Coast. Looks like being a long summer for them. It is only the beginning of their wet season as well so it could be a long time before the flood waters recede completely for them.

Well in spite of the heat I have fixed my little problem and am now back on track. Looking forward to seeing/hearing what everyone else has been up to in this group.

:D

Got a lot done on the border I am working on last night- but decided it needs a little more- something out of my comfort zone but will give it a try and hope it looks ok. But first I have to find the right color fabric and it is NOT in my stash! The New Year is good motivation to get things in gear again.

Since when do any of us need an EXCUSE to go fabric shopping?!?!?!? I went this past Saturday...STICKER shock...all prices for 100% cotton were up 2 to 3 dollars a yard...I may have to find a part time job in addition to my full time job to support my habit...LOL.

Love it :D I certainly need no excuse to go fabric shopping. Kherrin I have read a few comments about estate sales and also wondered then if fabric ever gets offered on free cycle for instance, then there are the op shops and such?

I know...I do recycle a lot of 100% cotton fabric...but all the really good deals seem to fall in someone else's lap...I am really not very lucky! I did pick up a wonderful double wedding ring tops about 3/4 done with most of the pieces cut and lots of extra material...just haven't had time to work on it.

The dbl wedding ring top sounds lovely, what a find that must have been. Now you know you really should make some time to work on it.

I know what you mean about always seeming to miss good finds as I am usually one of those people as well, however both my friend and my mother are very good bargain shoppers and such so I've been known to tell them I am looking for something in particular with great end results :-D

With mailing date only 5 days away it seems we are all working down to the wire. I am hoping to see some completed borders in the next few days, and hope to finish the one I am working on in time. Three more corner squares to finish, then put it all on and I will be done. Better get back to work...
