Some of us mentioned this before........Just say to yourself: "wrong side of fabric to wrong side of pattern". This is the step that I always get mixed up.

This is the first time PP for me. It was difficult for me because I have 1 usable hand (my left). With lots of tape and pins I managed to do it. I had to resolve to do it. I never felt so disabled. But I was determind to complete it. After each try went into the garbage I swore I would not do this. But I did. I've posted it before but I did not get a lot of feedback. Yeah, there are some problems. My disability is out of my control, but within my control is my imagination.

My original block was sent in on Jan 5th. After seeing all the pics of churches and
read that block should be 12 inch square. So..............I called in the landscaper
and greenery was added! I must admit the blocks with an additional piece on
bottom of square really brings out details of the church. Love seeing the different interpretations in each block. Thanks

One of the quick tricks I learned was to use those double sided labels that are used for photos and scrapbooks.

I stick the first fabric down and then it doesn't shift. When I do a 1/2 or 1/4 inch wide strip log cabin miniature it is really a life saver

I am so glad that you did not give up. You made a very nice block, I really like the roof and background fabrics. Is the strip of flowers fabric or is it ribbon? The embellishments you added show how creative you are.
I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future. I haven't even started mine yet, hopefully in a few days, but unless my DD camera is working I won't be able to show it.
Hmmm....I do have a scanner, would that work?

    hheelleenn:
I really like your church. The added crystals add light - looks like there is light shining through the church windows. I admire you for sticking in there through your difficulties.

Thank you for that tip! Sounds like it would work. I gotta try it.

You have a disability? Wow! You did great. I am so proud of you and your determination. You ought to have seen how mine looked as I was fiddling with it and I have no disability (except in my head maybe). LOL

My mother had the same disability. No use of her right hand and arm and she was able to learn to write with her left hand. Quite amazing.

Thanks for joining in and sharing.
