I HAD restless leg syndrome and my doctor told me to purchase tonic water and drink at least 2 8 ounce glasses each day and it worked for me - I did that for a couple of months and I can happily say that I no longer have the syndrome and I also no longer have to drink the tonic.

Love the rug!! My wrist is bad, so I can't crochet, nut maybe I could do the clothesline thing that's so popular now. Thanks for putting another thing on my to-do list!

Recycling your sheets is good but why not take meds to stop the syndrome??? My doctor prescribes ROPINIROLE and it really works.
    Good luck, Kutnso

Wow, I have occasional RLS and it drives me nuts, but I had no idea it could be so bad as to wear our sheets! I have no idea why it comes or why it goes, Im just glad when it's gone! The ol' bar of soap in the bed trick usually helps, so I keep a bar by the bed.

If I take Benadryl it really goes bonkers, tho, I know that much. Antihistamines make me really sleepy, but with my legs jumping all over, there's no falling asleep. Grrrrrr.

I really feel for y'all who suffer with this. Glad to know there are things that help.

Ropinirole is what I take. It is generic for Requip and it works great! I had tried everything else and nothing worked! I tried magnesium, iron, bananas and even the soap! Which tasted terrible!

Love the rug. Did you use a knitting needle to do the stiches? Also a friend of mine had restless leg syndrome and the doctor found out that their iron level was out of whack and gave something to get the iron level back to normal. The results for them was no more restless leg syndrome.

Vinae, You shouldn't have to deal with RLS - I take two 4mg. Zanaflez (generic) every night & get a wonderful night's sleep. Dr. was more than happy to prescribe them for me. I didn't realize what I had was RLS until I complained about the feeling I had. I sleep well, but don't have any problems waking up bright & refreshed in the morning - no groggies for me.
