One of my cats ended up being called "pooper" because he had an issue when he got very old.

my cat, whom is a grey Russian Blue, is my baby, so we call her Little Girl.
this way it doesn't disturb her when she hears her name, and come running.
    sometimes, Princess

I also want to add, that when we want Zoey to do something, we call, Zoey", first to get her attention. then the command. she knows about 15 words, and the commands and what to do. I spend a lot of time with her. some people think too much at times. but she is a love, and sleeps under the blankets with us. Backup is a command for when she's under the balankets. she know what it means.

When we don't want our dog to get excited about talking to/about him, we call him the Canine Unit and we have to spell (he is a super intelligent Golden Retriever--smartest dog I've ever had). "Did you f-e-e-d the Canine Unit tonight?" Pup, Pupper, Pupster, Brat, Pest, Boy, Mutt, Hairy Wonder. His name is Reilly , so sometimes we call him "Rei Guy".

We don't have cats, so they don't get referred to collectively very often.

Growing up on a farmette, we had cats, and they were always "the cats" or referred to by name. Miss Kitty, Punch and Judy, Gabe, and Missy were their names. We had a horse and she was always called by name or Pretty Girl or Beautiful Beast.

I'm down to just one dog now - Miss Moira Mae is a Border Collie mix. She answers to Baby Girl and Punker. She was the 'cutie' half of the Beauty and the Cutie. We lost the beauty in December, so Cutie isn't used much anymore.

LOL, we call that "being catbound"... as in, "Would you bring me my glasses (glass of water, snack, whatever)? I'm catbound."

Funny! One of my dog's nicknames is "Puppy Dog Doodle". Also call him "Mart-Mart" (his name is Marty), Big Fat Doggie, and Sweet Boy. Most off he gets called "Buddy".

The Kitty Committee, when they're gathered outside my sewing room door, and it looks like they're having a meeting. <3
