Have recently purchased a Pfaff CV and it has metal clips to hold the frames tighter - found they also fit the frames for the Brother. I have also used small safety-pins in the fabric to stop slipping back through the frame, but if you try this make sure they don't interfere with the movement of the machine.

Hi all, what a great resource I have a Pfaff Creative Sensation and the Creative Vision with large hoops and I have an older Bernina 530 with smaller hoops. I absolutely love my embroidery machines and I use them a lot. I am attaching my most recently finished baby quilt.
