I adore my "cutout" card table also and have had it for alot of years. I bought it the summer I worked at Singer in Asbury Park, NJ when I was in college. The card table was $10.00 at that time but with the removable cutout. So your price of $7.00 was "just right." I worked all summer for a 401A machine which I still adore and a Wiss shears and pinking scissors. I taught home ec for many years and have been retired for 11 years. Qulting is my life besides my family and I have more fabric than I will ever use up.

New to all this... what is a 301 and what is so special about the card table and cut out? I need to know what to be on the look out for when I go tag sale/thrift store shopping !

The thrift store did not know that this was a sewing table and thought it was just a card table and someone had taken a cut out. Hence the very good price. Sometimes people don't know what they have.

Good deal! I just bought a card table cabinet & paid more than that at a yard sale. - Mine does have the cut-out piece; maybe thats why it was more expensive LOL.

I said "OK" paid and ran for the car.

    My what a blessing.
I got my 301 on a Saturday afternoon and the following weekend I got my card table (with cutout).

I love sewing on my 301. I just finished another Bow Tuck purse using it and my 501 Rocketeer.

    Have fun with your set-up.

I did that with a cutting table from Habitat for Humanity - they had no clue what it was for and asked what I would want it for - paid $10!

And you can bet that after you went running out of the store they were scratching their heads and laughing about the lady who bought the messed up card table!
