I am making stilettos for my sewing friends. Use a turkey lacing skewer, some jewels and gorilla glue or E6000.

I wish we had a like button. All of the photos of gifts are so cute and clever. Thanks for posting.

I'm making altoids tin sewing kits for stocking stuffers -- a couple of cheap bobbins wound with neutral thread, a needle book with assorted needles, a mini pin cushion (or magnet attached to lid) , small seam ripper, chunk of beeswax for the hand quilters, some basic buttons, those cranes bill small scissors can fit too.

You can find the turkey lacing skewers in an 8-pack for less than $5 on Amazon, shipped free same day.

Only two of use are beginning quilters, the rest of us are 5-10 year quilters and really don't need more FQ etc., or is this a bad idea. The backing & batting is provided free.
Although the other suggestions are good, I like your idea. I am trying to downsize my stuff and the last thing I need are presents that increase my already huge mound of stuff. Your idea gives your friends fun when they piece it together and also wins when it becomes a charity quilt.

Thank you so much!! I just ordered 4 custom ones with my quilter friends names on them plus one for me. These are so handy. I already have one without my name on it and I am always misplacing it or someone has borrowed it in a class. These make great gifts!
