It al depends on her taste. It is a bright cheery quilt and if that suits her and her taste, don't hesitate to give it. If she prefers more neutrals or another color selection, I am sure you will find the perfect home for this happy quilt!

I'm 71 and like the quilt. I would like anything a niece made especially for me.

Almost 65 and this quilt is beautiful! My suggestion is to make the back more sophisticated so she can choose which side to show off.

Or give it to someone else. I volunteer to take it!

You put all your aunts favorite colors in this quilt and it turned out lovely. I just love your fabric choices, especially the dot fabrics. It is a Happy Quilt. I think the house fabric makes it look more grown up.

I would let your Aunt decide if this quilt is her style or not. Let her know your concerns. Tell her you participate in project Linus so the quilt will find a good home.

As for me, as I get older (56 and counting), I love having cheerful, bright colors around me to brighten my day!

it's a very pretty quilt no matter what you decide... what about a neutral (white fabric for the border)?

Use the green or purple for the backing and binding if you think the blue and pink make it too young looking. Since she told you she likes green I would make that the focus color.

I think that it is a perfectly lovely quilt and I just turned 82, if that is any help to you.

I love it! Just add a border if you want to make it a little bigger. It's cheerful and I bet she will love it.

I am a new quilter and make larger lap sized quilts with Minkee backing and no batting. Mum's quilt may have a different back as it is planned as a beach blanket. Mum goes to the beach every day during the summer for a swim and suntan.

I am about to sandwich a quilt top I made with Minkee...as a fairly new quilter, now I wonder if I need batting after reading this. I plan to quilt it myself. Sorry to get off the post subject!! BTW, seniors do like colorful stuff, too!
