You don't mention how old this son is......certainly old enough to know better than to throw darts at you. Shrug it off. I don't pay any attention to people who enjoy playing hardball with other people's feelings.

If a teen-ager, ask why he is willing to pay over $100 for a pair of sneakers to just 'walk' in - or a comparison of something he likes that is expensive (electronics or etc) & made on an assembly line. :roll:

I am sorry but no one realizes what goes into making a quilt. They have no idea whatsoever.

My SIL has that attitude about buying quilts at Walmart or Penney's and doesn't value a homemade quilt I gave her. She washed it in a reg. washing machine and ruined it!
Never again.

Just an aside... I don't make, buy, or use anything that can't go in my washing machine. Everything goes in, some things don't come out wonderfully, but... if I can't wash it, I can't use it... I do have one afghan that my grandmother knitted for me when I was a baby, it can't be washed - it is wrapped up in my hope chest now, and hung in the back of my mothers closet for 20 years before that. I'd rather see my homemade quilt stained and worn from use (and washing, because it was used) than know that it's so treasured that no even gets to see it.
