Sounds like you have a great set up in your quilting/painting room. I have a small room, as many others have, but would like to put more light in...your banks of lights sounds great. By the way, where in Texas are you?

THere's a color I love called "Castle Path" from Behr paints. (You can get it at Home Depot. It's a warm grey, but changes color slightly depending on the light in the room. I LOVE IT! :) But then again that's just me.

I understand why white would be good, but I'd have to have some color... I think yellow is happy... but you have to like it. I'm anxious to see what you decide!

I have a buttery yellow. But,not much shows if and when I ever think of repainting, I'd go with the lavender or a sage green.

I can not paint mine just now but when we move I want white walls. I plan on using white and painted bright color storage units and fabric in my special colors to brighten up the room so in this way I can change them in and out with out taking the room apart.

I would paint it white, that is what my spare/sewing room is.

mine is butter yellow, with the original wood on the ceiling (old cape circa 1738) i had a purple room once, it's my favorite color, but found that it reflected on the fabric oddly & i never figured out the problem until we moved... lighter & neutral are best imho

My room is the spare bedroom and its painted peach. small room with a double be and my old kitchen table and my new sewing table so you have to suck it in to get around. Ha Ha. helps me not to gain weight. Sure.

My DH painted mine with semi gloss a real light mint green. It is a small room also and has a south window. I like it.
