Well, I was doing way too well on this so figures I screwed something up somewhere.... My sets were not coming out right. Now I figured it out, and man, I have a lot of ripping out to do now.
Somehow I missed keeping my sets together, and I didn't read in the instructions to make the FG to go with the pinwheels... now I saw it when I was trying to make the final sets, but I did half to go with the pinwheels and half the other ones thinking to mix it up a bit more... !
I was thinking I could wait and see, but she specifically says not to make FG with the rest of the QSTs.... so I guess I better rip them out.
    Thoughts? Suggestions?

I will add tho, that my pinwheel points are awesome and my FG fit right together beautifully!!

I am confused and the more I re-read the clues, the more confused I am. Maybe its a senior moment, but Clue 4 and Clue 6 confusing to me. I make the 'kit' in clue 4 and use them in clue 6, I think. But the 'aqua' changes 'green'., and apparently has to match the other colors of fabric...hope I am wrong. Please explain what I need to do here. Just 'trust' and go forward to the end?

Clue 4 aqua and blue quarter square triangles gets paired with clues 6 and 8. The blue triangles go to the flying geese with the green in clue 6. The aqua quarter square triangles go to clue 8 along with the raspberry and blue triangles from clue 7 to make flying geese.

I finally got started on clue 8 this afternoon, and it is going very very slow. I decided to go ahead and trim all of the units in each set so I don't have to do it later. So instead of making 4 flying geese and moving along, I am making four FG,then trimming them, the FG from clue 6, the pinwheel from 7, and the HSTs from 4 and 7. It is slow going, but I'm chugging along!

I did discover exactly how scant my seams have to be to make the FG work using Bonnie's method and size properly afterwards. That did a lot for my confidence level.

I am still a little behind, but I should be all caught up by Friday as long as there are no more surprise clues!

Thanks Queenbarbiej. the other instructions of making another (different) block threw me. I am sure it will all make sense on the last clue. I have learned how to use the Essential Tool!

wildyard, I think you will want your clue 8 geese to match up with your pinwheels if everything else in the set is matching.

QNinaSue, I'm not sure what you mean by 'the 'aqua' changes 'green'

You use the blue QSTs from your clue 4 kits to make blue geese with green wings for clue 6.

You use the aqua QSTs from your clue 4 kits to make aqua geese with red and blue wings for clue 8. The red and blue wings are the unsewn HSTs from the clue 7 pinwheel sets.

The red and blue wings on the aqua geese will match the red and blue in the pinwheel. The aqua in the geese will match the aqua in the aqua/blue HST from clue 4. The blue in the aqua/blue HST will match the blue in the blue and green geese from clue 6. The blue from the clue 6 geese does not match the blue in the pinwheel.

    edit

oops, I posted this before seeing your reply above, QNinaSue.

I don't know if it helps anyone else, but when I was getting confused I took the paint chips and put them in order and that's what I used as a visual aid as I did my sets. I also find it helpful to call my mis-matched valued groups by the names given on the paint chips. Interchanging the names got confusing fast! So Aqua = Refresh, Green = Parakeet, blue includes both Skada and the other, and Frambois is the raspberry for others, red for me, and Neutral = school bus yellow, at least for me!
