Oh and while I'm here (OK I'm here a lot) I'm thinking of buying this rocketeer:

What model is this, and what do you think of them? I don't want to have to "upgrade" like I did with the 319k (bought a 320k).

It should tell you on the stitch length plate - it may be a German 401 or 411. Those will treadle. http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...s-t211311.html

Not a bit. It's very easy and really useful. Yes, computers are actually supposed to make your life easier
Your computer possibly came with MS Office. If you have this you don't need libreoffice, because it usually comes with excel (spreadsheet program).

My friends threw a recliner on a bonfire once. Best night ever.

Hmm... I feel drawn to it. Not the least reason is that I collected the Rocketeer comics as a kid (they cost a lot less but this looks waaaay more fun) ;-)

    Is it worth $60?
