Is the "shuttle pin" the hook on end end of the cord??? If so I was just going to order one that already had one on it.
oh wow...you did score...if you need the leather belt let me know I am ordering this week from Brewer sewing supply.
You will need more shuttle pins I believe as well.
you need to tell us what the purpose of the tower thing in the center of her head is! ODD looking for sure...
Her wood just needs a light sanding and polishing....she really does look great!

WOW!!!! how luck can you get. She is beautiful. Enjoy fixing Her up. i use machine oil to clean my machines, works great. Be careful of the decals though. Post pic when you are through. I love it.

You don't need to tear her apart...some advocate that for cleaning, but it's not necessary! If the machine moves freely, there's ABSOLUTELY no need to tear it apart! Clean it, get rid of the dust bunnies and grime, oil it up and use it!

I betchya you think you are done for awhile. NOT. Very nice machine and the decals are really nice. I have a New Home head that is in much, much worse shape. Most of the decals are gone but I can still see the outlines of them. I ws thinking of cleaning it up and repainting the decals. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. When I get to that project can I ask you to take really closeup pictures so I can use them as examples?

I just bought the same machine but mine was $20.Your cabinet is in better shape.Mine had a paper in it stamped 1906 and there was a medical dictionary from 1899.The manual wasnt there and I am trying to figure out how to thread her.Sewing machine shop cleaned her up and gave her a physical and new belt she works fine.

Great deal you got!! That New Home is very pretty, and the decals look great!! Sew-Classic.com has lots of parts for treadles, including the belt. Very reasonable, too.
Can't wait to see how it looks all finished!!

That "tower thing" is part of the tension/threading assembly on these. The thread goes through that tension part on the arm, then through a slot in the top of that tower thing, then down to the take up arm.
