Just an FYI/trivia PSA: Vasoline works just as well. My dermatologist had me use it for the wound care after skin cancer surgery on my leg. He also said that Neosporin (triple antibiotic) does not prevent a bacterial infection, only treats it once you have one. And also that a large percentage of the population is actually allergic to it. Yes - I'm one of them. Got "smart" and used it instead of the Vasoline & my wound got inflamed. He knew exactly what I had done when he saw me at my post-surgery appointment. :D

I was browsing our local Kijiji (like CL) and saw this machine. I have never seen an older singer like this before. Is it an industrial machine?

Pretty machine and cabinet, I love the detail on the coffin. Thanks for sharing.

Quiltin' Cowgirl, I had to say that I am another one of the "lucky" ones who are allergic to Neosporin! There is sulpha as an ingredient.

This forum is bad for me. I picked up an old Franklin a parlor cabinet that has the chain mechanism to pull the machine up when the top is lifted. The cabinet is in pretty bad shape, and I haven't gotten it out of the van yet. Got to find a place to put it, then take some pictures!

I did not know sulfa was an ingredient! I do know that I am allergic to sulfa drugs (sulfonamides) & have it on my list of drugs I can not take.

I do too. If only I were brave enough to venture out of the world of Singer...and also into the world of treadles. Someday. Maybe.

I went to the ER with a pet bite, and was told to treat it with Neosporin, even after I told them I was allergic to sulphas. I guess they don't know either!
