Darren, I love the 185! Is she really noisey? A gal brings a 185 to Girls Night Out that just clangs!

Nancy

Actually she's relatively quiet. Of course I oiled her up good before I used her. I'll have to compare the noise to one of the Pfaffs.

Here's an interesting CL - a machine with a split personality! Advertised as a Vintage White Rotary Series 77, sewing machine is an older Singer machine! No picture - only $150!

My 185 isn't overly noisy. Sounds like your friends machine needs some TLC.

Charlee,

You and your husband did a very nice job. Hazel looks very happy! Gorgeous!

You all gave me "THE BUG" since May I acquired 7 machines.
Haven't even seen 3 of them yet !!!!
Well serial# JA077213 in a cabinet according to Singer is a 1924 manu in St. Johns, Quebec, Canada BUT - I wasn't sure if it was a 127 because there is a little button to push to lift the bobbin shuttle which I read is the 128. So how can I tell ? --photo to follow.
I have a 127 Treadle and they sure look the same.

Need a shuttle like the ones shown few pages back by Charlee.
Any chance you will sell me one after? Also need the front metal plate to cover the shuttle so that is why I got it cheap.
My next quilting is a cloth cover for the treadle with fabric showing sewing machines.

Wow, as soon as I pressed open in my file the photo jumped into large size and was sent. Thanks for looking.

Anyone having these parts to sell I need please pm me.

Morningstar, I'd happily sell you a shuttle, but the ones I have won't fit your machine! :(

It's a beautiful machine, and I have seen the shuttles on ebay...I SO wish I could help you...

Charlee, I just checked out your newest blog pictures. Again, what a wonderful job you and your husband did! And what a beautiful machine and cabinet! I can't believe the difference - love the metal on the sides.
